Building Capacity for Informal Adult Education and Debate on the EU is an Erasmus+-project where the three partner organisations: the Danish organisation Democracy in Europe Organisation, the Croatian organisation CROSOL and the Belgian organisation Europahuis Ryckevelde have worked together to strengthen the European debate and cooperation across Croatia, Belgium, and Denmark from 2022-2024. In three years, we have worked together to establish a transnational education sphere where all adults of diverse backgrounds have had the possibility to participate and be heard. Our ambition to improve adult education on EU matters has both included physical and digital engagement of a broader range of participants with the use of different methods to include more people in the debate on the EU.
The methodological approach and findings conducted in the project have been gathered into this informative guide that can help other educational organisations to reach a more geographically diverse audience with online tools in their work. It also includes perspectives and knowledge about reaching audiences in other countries and how communication through an online medium may differ depending on the country (Belgium, Croatia, and Denmark) to give a better understanding of online education in a transnational context.
